Pastor Harlan Taylor, Sr. was raised in Evansville, Indiana, graduating from Central High School in 1972. He attended University of Southern Indiana-Evansville majoring in elementary education. Pastor Taylor entered the ministry in 1997, moving into full time ministry by 1999. He served as Associate Minister at both Little Valley MBC (1997-2003) and Memorial Baptist Church (6yrs). He was called to Pastor Little Valley MBC in 2003 until 2009. Along the way, he has served in various capacities as deacon, trustee, youth director, Sunday school teacher, outreach minister and youth pastor.

 With his passion for working with youth, he developed a youth radio talk show ("Seekers of Our Savior") and ("Keeping It Real"), established drug prevention programs, youth conferences as well as radio broadcasts and a youth radio show In The Zone. Pastor Taylor previously along with his wife was the host of the Sunday Evening Gospel Program radio broadcast.

 Pastor Taylor is the Co-Founder and Senior Pastor of G.A.P. Ministries Christian Fellowship in Evansville, Indiana with a focus on outreach.

He and his wife Rev. Lorinda Taylor have four children; Kier, Harlan Jr., Lonita and Lawrence and Seven grandchildren; Ashlyn, Noah, Jasmine, Sean, Cydney, Isaiah and Silas.
